Payroll Journal
The MYOB and Quicken exports will create a .csv or .iif file that can be uploaded into MYOB or Quicken via an Import function that is available in the respective software. The XERO API export will create a payroll journal that can be directly imported into XERO via the XERO interface which can be accessed by selecting Import / XERO from the payroll menu.
Once uploaded to your accounting system the journal created will appear as follows:
Debit - wages and salaries expense account
Credit - payg payable account
Credit - wages and salaries payable accrual account
Debit - superannuation expense account
Credit - superannuation payable accrual account
