The End of Day process can be accessed from the menu by selecting Transactions / End of Day.
The End of Day procedure will divide all transactions entered via the Horse Charges function, amongst the owners according to their ownership percentage.
The End of Day must be performed to ensure reporting remains accurate and up to date. If any reports appear inaccurate it is most likely an End of Day needs to be performed and the report reprinted.
The End of Day may be run more than once during the day.
During the End of Day procedure the program may detect a problem that will require you to correct data that has been entered into the system. A common problem occurs when the program cannot locate
any owners for a horse transaction that it is trying to process. If this occurs the system will display an Ownership Not Defined error message. This generally indicates that a transaction has a
date that is earlier than the ownership date defined for the horse. When this occurs, correct the ownership entry and re-run the End of Day.
Process Diary to Date: You can choose to run the End of Day and calculate the Diary entries to the specified date. This will allow you to print an interim account. The default
value is the month end date for the current month, however, you can enter a date between the 6th of the current month and the month end date. When the End of Day is processed, Diary entries and
entries linked to Diary entries will be calculated to the specified date.
The Invoice Date printed on the accounts is determined by the Account Date value specified in the Options settings. The possible values are the Last Day of Month, First Day of Month or the Process
Diary to Date value.
